I graduated from Genoa Central High School in 1994. I then went to Texarkana Community College and graduated from TAMU-T in December of 2001.
I started teaching in the Genoa Central School District in August of 2001. I have been at this school district for 15 years. I currrently teach 5th grade science.
Before working at Genoa Central, I worked at Bright Star Elementary for ½ year as a reading pull out teacher.
I have been married to Jamie Bush since May of 2001 and we have three boys. Their names are Carson, Clayton and Camron. They attend Genoa Central School.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy running, reading, and spending time with my family.
I have participated in the St. Jude Children’s Hospital Memphis Half Marathon for the last 13 years. It is really something to run down the streets of Memphis and with every step think that you are doing it for a great cause. We get to run through the parking lot of the St. Jude Children’s Hospital parking lot! Talk about a tearful journey! I love to run for the kids!
I love to relax and enjoy a good book and a cup of hot chocolate at the end of the day. My favorite types of books to read are mystery/thriller books. Currently, my favorite author is Lisa Scottoline. My favorite book of all time is WONDER by Raquel J. Palacio. (A MUST READ)
My family loves to go to the lake in the summer and hunt in the winter. We also enjoy watching each other’s extracurricular activities (soccer, cross country, baseball, and football). WE STAY BUSY with three boys!
